Certified Child Passenger Safety Support in Eugene
The Safe Lane Transportation Coalition is excited to offer free child passenger safety checks to families in Lane County.
Our certified Child Passenger Safety Technician, Drew Pfefferle, is available to:
Inspect your car seat, booster, or seat belt setup.
Teach you how to properly install and use child restraints.
Answer your questions about child passenger safety laws, recalls, and best practices.
Provide hands-on support—whether it’s your first installation or a recheck for growing kids.

Caregivers can now schedule an appointment with Drew to receive a one-on-one child passenger safety check.
To get started, complete the appointment form on this page. Once submitted, our team will review your request and contact you within 1–2 business days to confirm the details and schedule a date and time.
Currently, safety checks are conducted in downtown Eugene, near the Park Place Building (859 Willamette St.). We hope to expand to additional locations soon.
Looking ahead, in 2026 we plan to host community safety check events at multiple sites across Lane County to make this service more accessible.
